Designer door is precise fit for Kicking Horse Ski Resort home
Not only is Golden, British Columbia a place of spectacular scenery, but it is an authentic mountain town offering a rich history and plenty of cultural experiences located in one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth. Situated at the base of the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in the Canadian Rocky Mountains is a 3,500-square-foot residence and gathering place for an active family of five.
On the garage is a Schweiss one-piece hydraulic designer door clad in Clear Heart Western Red Cedar. The custom-made 20 ft. 8.5” x 8.1 ft, door has electric photo eye sensors, a door base safety edge and remote opener.
The reason they used a hydraulic door was because the architects liked the cleanness of the one-piece door and the detail of the jambs in particular. From an architectural perspective they said it’s fantastic. They really like the product, the appearance of it and the way it can be integrated seamlessly with the exterior materials of the house.
When a world-class architect specifies Schweiss Doors, it must be for a good reason.
